The Foundation  
"Preserve and maintain with dignity the good things of Old -
accept and develop new ideas with care."		  

Since 1998, Eberbach Monastery has been owned by a not-for-profit foundation under public law, the "Stiftung Kloster Eberbach".
All of the activities of the Foundation are focused on the overall objective of the long-term preservation and use of the Eberbach Monastery.

This is achieved by mean of various activities in the following fields:

I.

 Preservation and enhancement of the historical buildings
II. Cultural activities
III. Access to the Monastery complex for the general public
IV. Formal events of the Hessian State Government
V. Use of the Monastery building complex by third parties

All of the above activities are actively pursued and coordinated in a harmonious way with one another in accordance with the overall Foundation objective.
In the case of possible overuse or of conflicting uses, the preservation of the Monastery buildings and the upholding of the dignity of this historical location have priority over all other uses.
